Rally Beginners
Rally uses basic obedience moves to navigate a “course” laid out with signs. The handler & dog team will learn the Rally signs. These signs are just a combination of sits, downs, and heeling. Rally is a fun and exciting way to promote a positive working relationship between handler and dog while offering the chance to earn AKC titles. As always, you can just take this class for a great night out with the dog!

RALLY BEGINNER CLASS
Intro to Treibball
Treibball is a new sport for active dogs. It started in Germany as an activity for herding dogs that didn’t have access to livestock. Videos posted to YouTube in 2010 quickly went viral among people interested in dog sports. In competition, the dog is asked to run away from their handlers, around and behind eight exercise balls (set up similarly to bowling pins), wait until directed, and then drive the balls one at a time into a soccer goal. The skills needed for Treibball are fun to train and useful for other dog sports.

Fun with Scent Levels I-III
Scent training is an exciting and fun new sport created to encourage and develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities. In scent training or nose work, you use your dog’s desire to hunt, combined with his love of toys, food and exercise. Scent Training works for all dogs…as long as they have a nose. And, it’s fun for the dog since they are using their natural talent of smelling. With just a small amount of training and encouragement, your dog will be searching and finding scents quickly.

Fun with Agility Levels I-III
Safely teach your dog jumps, tunnels, A-frames and other obstacles. Dogs love to learn to run various courses, configured with these obstacles. The dog learns to follow your directions, helping to develop a closer bond to you, the handler. Agility is a great confidence builder for timid dogs too!
